When I meet with couples for the first time and we have
gone through ideas for ceremonies and networking in
relation to the ultimate ceremony of their dream I
always state to them what paperwork they must give me as
an original, a certified copy but I cannot accept
anything that is faxed or just a plain photocopy as this
is considered not a legal document.
The bride and groom are usually very excited when they
come and met me announcing to the world that they are
getting married.
It is often the biggest event in a couple’s life
and the most difficult part that stresses couples out is
where to start and where to put everything, especially
prioritising as to what is very important and what is
not.
I have had many couples come to visit me that have had
not a clue but within a couple hours they have got
everything organised and their minds are now inundated
with more information and ideas than they can possibly
conjure. – I am certainly a great little networker as I
am sure most celebrants are.
I have got lots of tricks up my sleeve as I have
often stated before with a great planning process very
little can go wrong.
I would like to re-iterate the requirements of the
production of birth certificates Section 42 Marriage Act
1961.
1.
Subject to this Section a Marriage shall not be
solemnised unless
(b) There has been produced to that authorised celebrant

of the party.
