Congratulations! You are engaged and you are organising
the biggest day of your life.
It’s a time when emotions run high and there
never seems to be enough hours in the day to achieve all
you need to do.
While you can look forward to all the excitement
and romance of planning and celebrating your wedding you
will soon notice there are many things to consider
during the preparation stage.
From your unique bridal style, to your photographer,
florist, guest list and reception and ceremony venues.
If you simply do not have the time to organise a
wedding yourself or do not know where to start you might
consider hiring a professional wedding advisor or co-ordinator
and it is their job to know the service professionals
within the industry.
They will have heaps of ideas that you probably have
never considered and they can do as little or as much as
you want.
They help plan your entire wedding with you having all
the fun deciding what you want and them doing the dirty
work of actually running around and getting it.
As with all large tasks planning a wedding becomes
manageable and even enjoyable when you break down the
overall requirements into smaller tasks that you can
simply tick off as you go along.
By taking notes and keeping tally of your costs
and deadlines the options will remain firmly in your
control.
To The Bride and Groom, a business house located in Dean
St is one example of a wedding planning organisation.
You can also get a lot of help by searching the
web. As a
celebrant I certainly love networking and offering
suggestions in the immediate area and these places help
provide a comprehensive budget and sections where you
can record your quotes, keep track of expenses and
recording delivery and contact details for your wedding
suppliers.
Many of the couples that I meet have exercise books full
of pictures and ideas and it makes me think WOW they
really want this to be a very special day.
Don’t forget to hang on to any fabric designs
that you love, colours that inspire you and pictures of
gowns to die for.
Filled with new ideas, planning advice and
helpful details for every aspect of the wedding you can
then plan and design and organise your day feeling
confident that you are covering every aspect and every
element of the wedding and for the love that you share
with your partner.
You can then look back on this with fond memories
and keep it to show generations to follow.
By planning down to the finest detail it will help make
your journey to the celebrant/alter a smooth, happy and
stress free one so that you will enjoy a
wonderful wedding day.
Again I say it’s the little things that are the
big things and by making your day uniquely you, all, and
especially the happy couple will remember it as just so
fantastic.
This weeks ZIP or ZAP
It’s a good idea when you see flowers or arrangements
you like in magazines etc
to cut them out and take them with you to the
florist.
Til next time,
Annie.
